School Bus Driver 2-Hour Refresher Course

Bus drivers are required to take a 2-hour refresher course each year to keep their permit current. Drivers or their district/company must pre-register here with the Regional Office of Education ($10.00 fee required at time of registration).

Course Information:

Drivers MUST BE REGISTERED TO ATTEND. Please register in groups of 1-10 participants until the class capacity has been reached. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Phone-in or email registrations are no longer accepted for any bus driver training classes held at ROE 4. PRE-WORK REQUIRED: To be eligible to attend, each participant (initial or retraining) must complete ISBE-required pre-work prior to the training. Registrants will receive handouts and detailed instructions for the pre-work at least one week prior to the workshop. 
 
Participants will learn how to:
• Use assessments and measurement models to determine student growth.
• Use data from the evaluation rubric, other evidence collected and best practices relative to student growth to link teacher/principal professional development plans to evaluation results.
