Regular school attendance is imperative for academic success.

Improving your student’s attendance is difficult. There are many barriers that can come between your child and their education. At ROE 4's At-Risk Student Services Department, we will work with you to break down those barriers and assist you in developing and maintaining your child’s good attendance habits.

  • Schools refer students to the At-Risk Student Services Department when the student’s attendance remains a concern.
  • We work collaboratively to improve school attendance.
  • Partners will include parents/guardians, students, teachers, principals, school staff, and community resources.
  • If all interventions have been exhausted and attendance continues to be poor, court intervention for educational neglect/truancy may be required for violation of compulsory education laws.
