Evaluator Initial Training and Retraining for Principals and Assistant Principals - AA #4050PRE-WORK REQUIRED: To be eligible to attend, each participant (initial or retraining) must complete ISBE-required pre-work prior to the training. Registrants will receive handouts and detailed instructions for the pre-work at least one week prior to the workshop.
Participants will learn how to:
• Use assessments and measurement models to determine student growth.
• Use data from the evaluation rubric, other evidence collected and best practices relative to student growth to link teacher/principal professional development plans to evaluation results.
• Create targeted professional development plans to school improvement goals.
• Communicate evaluation outcomes and findings that enable teachers/principals to set goals and improve practice.

They will also assess and reflect on their own situations, creating an SEL-informed leadership mindset and a draft for moving their school or district forward with SEL-related programming. Teacher Evaluator Retraining Using Student Growth Data in Professional Evaluations - AA #3000REQUIRED Student Growth RETRAINING course for evaluators who are renewing their designations required to evaluate teachers.
Participants will learn how to:

• Use data from the evaluation rubric, other evidence collected and best practices relative to student growth to link teacher professional development plans to evaluation results.
• Create targeted professional development plans to school improvement goals.
• Communicate evaluation outcomes and findings that enable teachers to set goals and improve practice.
